Where can I find a van big/cheap enough while on leave?

My Daughter, her Husband and five Children will all be arriving in SC from Germany in two days for the purpose of relocation. The Army has sent them back to the USA, after my son in-law's tour in Iraq :) That is the fantastic news. The headache begins when we all have been trying so hard to find transportation for them. First their small car that is being transported from Germany will not be here for a couple of months (it travels by boat). These kids are role models...unselfishly adopting two children, then finding out they were with child to total number five, living on a very slim income, but always putting Family first. They have been taking two trips on every Family outing because they are too many to fit in their small car. Still saving and scrapping every penny toward a decent used van large enough for their new huge Family size. They cannot get into their housing for a week after they arrive in SC. the plans were to drive to FL. stay with Family while Grandpa helps them find a decent used van to purchase and drive back to their new home. The HUGE problem is finding a 9 passenger van to drive to FL. and have for a few days, first, are far and few between...when we do come across one the price is more than this Military Family makes in a month! Please there must be someone out there who can advise ...as to a company who doesn't charge this much.
