What do you think the place of unions in law is?

Unions are preferable to government intervention in situations where labor surplusses give an employer unfair negotiating advantage. The problem is that govt has given unions a variety of unfair advantages as well. The balance of power was swung to far in the other direction. Such laws needs to be softened.
